Mono at TechEd Barcelona
Novell will be sponsoring a Mono booth at
Microsoft's TechEd Developers Conference in Barcelona, Nov
7-10. TechEd is the premier EMEA conference designed to
provide developers with highly technical training, information
and community resources focusing on building software
solutions with Microsoft development tools.
We will also hold an after-hours Mono Discussion in partnership with Mainsoft to provide an overview of the Mono project and roadmap update.
Mono 1.1.18 is out
Mono 1.1.18 has been released.
Major highlights of this release include: a new portability layer for file names (case insensitivity and backslash/slash mapping); Plenty of bug fixes on Windows.Forms and System.Drawing; Support for the #- heap (incremental-built executables); Updated Console driver and various new updates to our tools.
A beta Alpha port is available on this release.
Significant performance improvements on the cryptographic stack and TLS/SSL, memory reduction on the runtime, increased performance in JITed code.

Mono Meeting: Second Venue Update
This is a second update to the previous post on the venue where the Mono Meeting will be held.
We apologize for the inconvenience, we have updated the location of the event once again he Royal Sonesta Hotel in Boston.
The hotel is close to the Kendall T stop and is easily accessible.
